As of 2021, the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds will undergo reno-vation work. During this period, the permanent exhibition will be replaced by an interim exhibition that focuses on the rally grounds, their geography and history. A large-scale media installation takes visitors on a journey through time from 1918 to 2020 and provides an initial overview of the extensive grounds. Four spaces of timegrouped around the installation explore in depth the events surrounding the site.

Selected objects, documents, films and photos form part of this historical collage. For the first time, national history is related from a local perspective, supported by numerous biographies and contemporary witness reports that provide personal insights into the subject. Media stations allow different people to have their say and encourage visitors to form their own ideas about history.
